We should probably start this catfight review by setting the scene. These two catfighters first met in Catfight 029 where they held each other to a 7-round draw despite brutal rounds of nasty catfighting that left them exhausted and in extreme pain. Before that catfight had finished filming both girls already wanted a piece of each other again to decide who was the ultimate catfighter. It wasn't long before both girls wanted an additional rule adding to try and separate them - face slapping.
And so the scene was set - two women with a genuine grudge to win meeting again under more intense rules than previously. Both arrived with an air of nervousness but confidence about them at the same time - and the pre-fight interviews showed both catfighters to be cagey about their thoughts other than they exuded a will to win.
After consenting to the rules and risks it was down to business - both ladies faced off and on referee Breeze's mark they flew at each other looking for an early and definitive win. The contrast in styles of attack was significant. Taz grabbed hold of Star's hair and pulled it as if her life depended on it - no matter what Star threw at her she did not let go or give up one inch. Star however took the allowed rule of face slapping to heart, and mercilessly attacked Taz's face at every possible opportunity.
After the first round Star had lost hair and Taz's face was already swelling. There was a glint in each of the catfighter's eyes as they knew they had hurt their opponent. Amazingly Taz seemed completely undaunted by the amount of face slaps she had suffered and went into round two with as much gusto and attack as ever. The catfight swung back and forth with both Star & Taz dishing out and taking a massive amount of punishment.
As round three started it appeared that Star stepped up a gear in aggression and went at Taz with a new enthusiasm and drive. If the fight was to be scored by rounds, you would say round 3 was Star's as she mouthed Taz, ragged her hair for all it was worth and repeatedly landed heavy slaps to Taz's face. In all fairness to Taz however she didn't give an inch and repeatedly went for Star's hair and face at every opportunity that she was allowed!
The round ended and then suddenly one catfighter quit choosing not to carry on. We won't reveal who won but the way the total submission came was a complete surprise. It left us shocked, and the victor with the biggest smile we have ever seen!
Three rounds of intense, brutal, genuine grudge catfighting that is a must see for any fan of real female combat.
And as if the bald patch, blak eye and extreme pain wasn't enough for them, both Taz & Star have agreed to a re-re-match in the middle of June for the loser to have the opportunity to avenge the loss!
Total running time: 13-minutes 37-seconds
